Massimo Copo

Massimo Copo

The picturesque town of Assisi is a pilgrimage site for worshippers of Saint Francis who was born and lived there in the 12th century. The vibration of peace is very tangible in the quaint little hill town.

We were just going out of a restaurant when we met a hermit, barefoot and wearing sackcloths in the midst of a cold November night. We stopped and made a new friend. Massimo Copo used to be a professor at a local university until he decided to become a lay member in the Benedictine tradition, living in a community close to Assisi. His mission in life is to find peace and abundance by renouncing and following God’s will. Massimo left a deep impression in our hearts and is setting a humble example for truth seekers everywhere.
