3 cups cooked beans (black or kidney)
1 cup nuts (almonds or cashews)
1 1/2 cup cooked rice (white or brown)
1/4 cup flaxseed, ground – alternatively: eggs
1 cup parsley, chopped
3 cups carrots, grated
1/4 cup spring onions
1 cup breadcrumbs
salt, pepper, paprika, chili
mix flaxseed and water and set aside.
pulse nuts in blender until breadcrumb-sized. Add rice and beans; pulse until mixture forms paste, with some beans still visible.
Add linseed paste with remaining ingredients; stir well.
Form patties and fry, bake or barbecue.
Serve with tomatoes, lettuce, relish, buns and ingredients of your choice.
