Around 500 AD, humanity entered Kali Yuga—the Dark Age, a period of roughly 1,200 years when human consciousness was at a low point. With little understanding of the deeper nature of existence, people lived in division and conflict.
Yet even in this darkness, great saints emerged who transcended the consciousness of their age.
The episode also follows the childhood and young adult life of Franz Langmayr, his wife Brigitte, and their life together in Kolbermoor, a retreat center. With appearances by their kids, the personal story of Franz and Brigitte becomes part of a larger story about consciousness, history, and the possibility of rising beyond one’s age. Includes interviews with John and Xochitl Berns.
