But what does it mean?
It means: We have an awesomely cool plugin on our site!
It is called “Updraft Plus“. Every week it backs up all our data (including our store!) on the website.
The data is backed up on the website but the program makes it available for us to download as well.
But how do I find the files I need to download? you may ask.
Good question!!! Before we get to it, let’s think about where we are going to store the data.
There is a beautiful red drive in one of the drawers in Niloo’s desk in the living room. It is labeled TLP Backup. (Thank you, Christine! You are the best for getting this!!!!)
Kindly connect it to your computer and checkout the system we created to do the backups. Create a new folder and name it according to the other folders.
Now, let’s get back online!
1.) Login to www.thelotuspost.com/login
2.) From the very top menu choose “Updraft Plus” –> “Existing Backups”.

3.) You will see a list of the latest weekly backups and 5 different backup data categories.
– Database
– Plugins
– Themes
– Uploads
– Others
4.) Click on the first category of the latest backup and start the download by selecting “Download to your computer”. Do this for all the other items as well.

5.) Store the files in the folder you just created – the program automatically creates a folder for each category.
6.) After you are done, securely disconnect the drive and store it safely in the drawer you took it out!
7.) Lean back and enjoy 😀
